What goes around comes around (in a good way).

The cowl knitting continues… and continues.  I should have just the right amount of yarn for the project.  What tickles me is that I originally bought the yarn thinking I could do a vest with it.  Ha!  Maybe a kid vest.  I’m not sure what I was smokin’ when I bought it… Oh, wait a minute.  It was the 75% off sale.  Heh!  Good thing I’m making a cowl now.

Another good thing is that there’s been an unintended positive effect of my Project 365 artful blogging.  A couple of folks have told me it has inspired them to push themselves to do more art or blogging or both.  (Yay!!)  Noah Scalin and his 365 Day Project were the impetus for me to actually start.  However, I needed a few other inspirations before that to even consider blogging along with the art.  I needed to:

See half of my knitting group blogging.

Chat with my cousin about the idea of blogging.

See many other bloggers doing a 365 Day Project themselves.

Get advice from friends about favorite blog sites and hosting sites.

Follow a couple of blogs I found very entertaining.

Have other artists around me.

In essence, I needed a whole network of friends and strangers sharing their work and ideas, planting lovely, little seeds of inspiration.  For those who have told me I’ve inspired you, know that the reverse is also true.  All of these lovely shares of time, pictures, thoughts, and words have had some beautiful consequences in the world around us.

Today I have a guest artist, my brother Greg.  Here’s a little sketch he said my blog inspired him to do.  I hope to see many, many more!

I hope that you are inspired by someone today.  And, I hope you inspire someone else as well.
